The face of Remind Heart
Meet Qalb
قَلْب
Qalb means heart in Arabic. He is a little character with a red heart on his chest, and like all of us, some days that heart feels heavy. In every episode, a reminder from Allah brings it back to life.
Who is Qalb?
Qalb isn't anyone in particular, and that is the point. He is a simple figure with no name tag, no background and no special look, so anyone can see themselves in him: young or old, man or woman, wherever you are in the world.
He gets sad, worried, tired and distracted. He scrolls too long, forgets his dua, and loses his way sometimes. Then he comes back. The little scratches on his head are the marks everyday life leaves on all of us, and his heart shows you how he is really feeling inside.
Qalb is a cartoon. He is never used to show a prophet, a companion or any real person from Islamic history.
His heart tells you how he feels
Why we made him
The heart is at the centre of our deen. The Prophet ﷺ said that there is a piece of flesh in the body which, if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt: it is the heart (Sahih al-Bukhari 52).
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest."
Ar-Ra'd 13:28We all know reminders are good for us, but a long talk is easy to scroll past. A short story about a little heart that feels the way you feel is easier to stop for. So Qalb carries the reminder, and the reminder is always from the Qur'an or the authentic sunnah.
Remind Heart was made so that anyone, anywhere, can come back to Allah one small step at a time. That is why everything here is free, with no sign-up and no adverts.
